Re: New motor and controller now cart batterys die
Are you sure you don't have an amp draw on your batteries from the likes of a voltage converter or something else left on while your cart is not in use?

It was fine before the motor and controller. The only thing that goes to the converter are the headlights and tail lights.

Question still stands are you sure that the converter and/or nuttin else is powered up while the cart is not in use? A converter will still use energy if turned on (abet a small amount) even if there is no output being used. Are you sure that there is nothing wrong with your batteries, are they OE to the 2012 cart? |

Try to narrow down the parasitic draw by removing the fuse feeding the dc/dc convertor since thats what everyone is focusing on.

Curious if the controller or solenoid powers up when you connect the battery main + or -. Sounds like you may have the solenoid or control on all the time.

The solenoid does not make a noise if I switch from from tow to run. I do not remember if it before the upgrade. The only time I here the solenoid is if I switch from reverse to forward. The 2 little wires that go to the top of the solenoid they were unclear what side they were supposed to go to. Could those be backwards and be my problem? |

Doesn't matter which way you put the wires on the solenoid as long as the diode direction is correct. If it's not, you will know because it will blow apart.

Guess I will pull the fuse on the converter and start with that. Thanks
