Default Starter Brushes

I got a sweet deal on new Yamaha OEM Starter brushes. I plan to replace the ones in my 1990 G8. Here's the thing, the part number that it calls for is JF2-81111-00-00. The deal I got was for part number JF2-H1111-00. If I cross reference the numbers it appears that they're the same but I don't know for sure. When I research the part number it says it's for a Yamaha G22. Also if I look at the cheap aftermarket ones on Ebay they all say for G1-G22. So the only thing that I can do is assume that my new brushes will work.

Can any of the Yamaha experts tell me if they definitely will work?

I figure that. I got a crazy deal on them. Bought a dozen brushes for $20. Thats $1.67 each. And that included shipping. Thanks block. Hey while I'm thinking about it I need a spring clip that holds a g16 shifter lever on. Does anybody have one. I guess i should put this in the for sale section.

AHH! Thanks Mac. That's fantastic! Can say I ever took notice. Is the shaft already threaded on the inside or do I need to drill it and tap it?

No Mike, but look in the hole of the plastic handle, there is a little dimple at the center, in the mounting hole. I just drilled that dimple out with 3/16 drill! That gave me a centering point (to drill out the center of the splined shaft). With the correct bit to cut threads for a 1/4x20 screw!!
