The inner sheave with the ramps will have to be replaced if the ramps are toast. The outer sheave if steel typically does not wear, but some have an alum outer maybe its aftermarket and will wear. The belt wears into them and then it will not shift right. You could also have a problem with the primary clutch but I'd get the secondary working right first. This happens, nobody does a thing to the carts and they run forever but get to where they have worn out parts or don't work that well. The newer spring seat has much larger pads it is worth getting and a new one comes with the pads in it.
Also check the tension cable under the gen pulley, it holds engine torque under full throttle. And make sure the engine mounts are not bad letting the engine move around a lot. Movement will cause it to bog down under high loads. |
