Default Amperage for kill switch

Quick question... going to run a round key switch off the small wire on the solenoid for a “theft deterrent switch”. Found a few I am trying to decide between but not sure what the amperage should be rated at... is 20 enough? Or should I try and find a 30 like my converter? Been seeing this a lot too “Contact rating 4A @ 120 Volt AC--2A @ 250 Volt AC”... what does that mean? Is that enough?

Thanks for the help!

A 15-20 amp switch will work

Does anyone know if the 4A @ 120 Volt AC--2A @ 250 Volt AC will work? It doesn’t mention max amps... I have a 48v cart FYI

Don’t want to put something too small in line due to all 48v hitting it. Having a hard time finding a barrel switch that shows all its specs

I've been using a hidden 12v.-20 amp rocker switch in the key switch/limit switch loop for a little over a year. No smoke yet. But I don't throw it while it's hot.

Curtis manuals call for a 10amp fuse in that circuit.

Some have been using Harley barrel switches with success.
