I have a non running mgiv that was supposed to have run in last year or two. It had no batteries in it and they said it had 12v in it. I got some 27DC 12v and am really having trouble figuring out how these Harleys work. It ends up with 12v on driver and 24 on passenger sides. On wiring diagram its 18 and 18.
I'm getting a click one way and a buz the other jumping ign switch Question, won't these work with the three 12's? And is there any troubleshooting info for the solenoids and wiring? |

Re: 79mgiv
I put in a twelve and a six on each side of the cart today and all it did was melt a wire. I'm done fooling with this $100 cart. Will part it out. Its been a learning experience I didn't need.

Re: 79mgiv
If you decide to part out the mgiv, i would be interested in a part or 2. Like the F-R switch for sure right now. am getting ready to buy batteries for mine to see if it works.

Re: 79mgiv
This is the only cart I just gave up on. I sold it a yr ago to some guys who thought they could get it going and never heard from them again. I haven't had a HD since then, as there are many clubs and ezgo around to keep me busy.
Until this HD, I had fixed CC's Ez's, Yami's gas and elec, and a HD that had been switched to 3-12's. Not so brave now, but I always appreciated all the help the minds on this forum that have helped so much. |
