Default Hooking up Cig/aux port?

Going on a 3 day golfing Mancation. 28 of us
The carts there are Electric. I want to hook up and cig/aux port to one of the batteries with alligator clamps so I can attach n remove quickly. Want to run a small clip on fan and maybe charge a phone.
Can I just attach it to any battery? I'm hoping I do not need a voltage reducer?
Any help greatly appreciated!! I own a Gasser.

Yes you would need a reducer.

I think this is a bad idea for too many reasons to list. One of them being I can't imagine a course allowing you to do it.

There is no reason for a reducer. The connection to a 12 Volt battery will supply 12 volts As this is to be temporary it is no problem.

If it isn't 6v or 8v or lithium.

Yep, screwing up someone else's batteries is indeed "no problem", continue.

I assume that you guys did notice he was going there for 3 days and that he was talking about charging a phone. Not much draw there! Many gguys (not me) use that practice for more then that on their own carts even if it is dumb!

He said a clip on fan and maybe charge a phone. The clip on fans draw from 4-10 amps. Phone chargers with any speed are at least 2-5 amps.

Never owned an electric cart so I have no idea what that would do to the batteries for four hours at a time. Assuming they are average golfers playing at least 18 holes per outing.
