Hello all,
New member here, i just got a 2012 YDRE from an auction, and the rear end (transaxle and motor) was shot. How should i start this project? where should i get the parts? Thanks. |

Re: Help with YDRE.
Welcome to the asylum....I mean club...
To answer your question as to where to start with your build, it would help to let us know what you plan to do with the cart. There are so many variables, it would be impossible to give you good advice without knowing what you are going to be using the cart for. As for where to get parts, you can click on the site sponsors button in the heading. Pretty sure you can get any parts you will need from them. I have bought from ecartparts.com and revolution golf carts and would highly recommend them. |

Re: Help with YDRE.
Thanks for all the info and I apologize for not knowing how to make things clear for all. I’m a newbie on the golf cart world. My plan for this build is just to use on campgrounds and to use around the house. I don’t want to make it fast or off road ready. As right now Im just lost on part numbers what should fit and all.

Re: Help with YDRE.
One of the Yamaha Techs can tell you what yr rear end will bolt up. Can you ID the cart via the ID tag information. Google what year is my Yamaha golf cart. This information is available many places and will help you find and read the ID tag.

Re: Help with YDRE.
For everything to just work back right.... Should be 2007 to 2014. You can find a lot by going to shop yamaha then hit parts and look at different years. Show diagrams for everything with part numbers

Re: Help with YDRE.
Not sure on after market. I changed mine to a dana with posi. It bolts on. Have to change cables and pedal assembly to 2015 plus or Fab the cable bracket and buy a few cheap parts at the pedal
