Default Drive Belt Rubbing

I recently purchased a 2000 G16. As soon as i got it the solenoid went out causing it to blow the 10a ground fuse. When ordering the solenoid i ordered new belts as well. After installing the belts and a test drive, I noticed the drive belt frayed on the side toward the starter/Generator belt. I put it in neutral and ran it and the drive belt rubs the starter belt when at top speed. I looked at the starter/generator and it's mount and all appears to be in alignment. I'm leaning toward the clutch allowing the pulley to expand too much but not sure. This is my first cart so not sure how quiet the drive should be but to me it seems a little noisy. Looking for advise on what to look for.

TIA, Al

What belt is it?

OEM, Plowman, GBoost or aftermarket?

Myself, for reinforced, I prefer the Plowman; more side surface than the GBoost. Unfortunately, he just increased its price but I still prefer it!

So it is the belt and nothing else? I would think that the belt would have to be too wide (dimensional incorrect) if it's to blame for the interference. I don't want to take your advise (which I feel is good) and buy a more expensive belt and find that I'll be buying a third one after fixing the issue.

Thanks for your reply and help..... Al

Is the starter / generator belt in it's place on the crankshaft pulley? I've seen them end up in the gap between the actual pulley groove and the inner portion of the drive clutch. Something certainly has to be out of alignment for the belts to rub.
