G16-G22 Governor Shaft
I had some left and right play in the governor shaft in my g16. Am I able to replace the oils seal without tearing the transmission apart? Is it worth it to upgrade to the g22 design that uses a bushing and seal design?

Re: G16-G22 Governor Shaft
Replacing the seal won't fix a worn out bore, and it will immediately go back to leaking. I have drilled out the bore and installed the bushing, but it's a lot of work (remove transmission and completely strip it).
