1997 G16 Yamaha
I have a 1997 g16 gas cart. Put a new muffler on and ran good for a month. It started backfiring and missing. I looked online and everything pointed to a carb issue. I took it apart and cleaned it out completely. Now the miss isn't as bad but still there while driving. I drive this on the street so it will go 30-35mph. The only thing left is the fuel pump or ignition. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What have you done to the engine or cart? That thing would have to be pretty heavily modified to run 30-35mph, and without knowing what all has been done/modified on the cart it would be impossible for anybody to help you with any kind of accuracy.

It is street legal since we live in a retirement community. It has a high speed gear and that's it. Engine is standard only thing with no modifications. The carb is a Makuni so I don't know if this is original or not. The only thing now is if the fuel pump or pick for the gas has issues.

The OEM carb is a Mikuni. China carb is Mokini.
