Yamaha Charger Loud Snap and Now Flashing
I bought a cart, replace with new 8v Batteries and did an initial charge with the Yamaha charger.
After a few days of driving, plugged in to charge again and seen a spark and loud snap from the charger. After the noise, it now just clicks and all lights flash on and off. I opened the charger and see a small black area near the heatsink along the side. I am wondering if these are something that can be repaired fairly easily or should I buy a new one? The charger is the factory 48v Yamaha branded. |

Re: Yamaha Charger Loud Snap and Now Flashing
Usually, slapping a new mosfet in there is a short term fix. I would get a better charger.
