Need universal joints for rear drive shaft
I need universal joints for the rear drive shaft. Clubcar wants to sell you the complete shaft only. Does anyone know where to get just the universal joint? its for Bobcat 2200S/ club Car XRT 1550

Re: Need universal joints for rear drive shaft
If you can get the spread and the cup size NAPA can probably come up with something. Of course Club Car being as protective with their "intellectual property" as they are, there is no such thing as an aftermarket parts listing for it. And Club Car would much rather sell you a $150 shaft rather than a $10 U-Joint.

$150 drive shaft
If you have a micrometer you can measure and size it yourself. The problem with some of those shaft assemblies is the u-joints are staked in and then you would need to undersized the joint in order to install a new one. Not sure how it’s done on that particular model, but I’ve seen it a lot on the smaller shafts for ATVs and 4 wheelers. I’m pretty positive it would be a Kawasaki made shaft which means if you could get the U-joint from CC it would probably be $60 with the clips, which they often sell separate from the joint. If you can get dimensions of the joint it will be a lot easier to have an ATV shop order one the correct size. Most auto parts stores will probably not be able to get one since they’re so small on vehicles like these. |

Re: Need universal joints for rear drive shaft
Once you are able to find a size, Google that size and you should be able to find a part number. Napa is good about finding hard to find or oddly sized parts. Or Amazon/eBay.
You could give David at revolution golf cars a call, he may or may not be able to help since it’s not technically a “club car” but you never know. Guy is a wealth of information and very helpful. |
