Default G22 runs slow

I have a 2005 G22 that runs fine on level ground. It attains reasonable speeds. The problem begins when I go downhill. After coasting down the hill, it will only idle along with very little power when I try to accelerate. If I come to a complete stop, I can accelerate normally.

What could be causing this?

Thanks in advance,
Gene

Welcome to BGW!

I would start by cleaning and lube the clutches.

Thanks for the advice. I cleaned and lubed the clutches. I also made certain that the governor was adjusted as far as I could take it. Still has the same issue--

Where should I go from here?

thanks,
Gene

Good tune up and check the fuel system: pull the bowl on carb. and spray it out.

Thanks for all the help. It turned out to be a bad throttle cable that would not let me accelerate all the way.
