New wire question???
So Last night I put in my new batteries (I will be breaking them in as suggested on the forum, thanks again) and I began changing over my wires to #4 welding cable..($23. for 25ft at local welding supply shop) I have a question regarding a couple of the stock ones on the cart...?
On my cart wires #49 and #50 of this diagram are smaller maybe 10 gauge, should I change those to 4 gauge also?? I wasn't sure since they connect different at the controller also. thanks folks |

Re: New wire question???
No need to replace those as they do not carry pack current. Just make sure they are clean and still crimped well.

Re: New wire question???
Thanks Gorno I kinda figured that but when in doubt shout it out :)
Last night I did a run with the old batteries and old wires (both of which were on the last leg and I ran 13mph on gps then I swapped out just the motor wires and put in the new batteries and ran 14.5 I'm looking forward to see how it goes after all the wires are done and the batteries get broken in a lil.. if it goes up another mph I will be real impressed with it. |
