Re: governor on 1988 club car
follow the long rod that runs from carb along the side of the motor where clutches are back to gov, if someone messed with it it will be almost impossible to get it back to right................................

Re: governor on 1988 club car
If it is a KF82 motor without the cart running hold the carb wide open then adjust the gov.rod. in the back. slide gov. lever to the front so when you let the carb. go back to the idle position the lever in the
back will be back. I think I remember that is the way been along time since I messed with a kf82 David correct me if I'm wrong |

Re: governor on 1988 club car
on late 1996 they built the ignotor into the coil but i have never heard of a rpm limitor built into a coil........on the older carts where the coils sits on the rear of engine drivers side the limtor is on top of the coil but not built it.................................

Re: governor on 1988 club car
there isn,t a coil or limitor? i have seen them with the limitor on top of the coil and i have seen them with just the coil..........now that older cart may have an exitor coil for spark which is mounted under flywheel....................
