Default 1984 will not run / weak spark

I have a 1984 Club Car gas cart...it ran fine one day...parked it and has not started since. It seems to me that the spark is very weak (it does spark but very weak when I took the plug out and checked the spark across the gap of the plug). I have tried to read several post and things...but still uncertain. Anyone have any help? May it just be the coil itself or does this cart have the exciter coil that could be bad too? I even read about the oil pressure sensor stopping the spark? Does this cart have the rev limiter? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
