Precedent Battery Problem
Thank you in advance for reading my thread and thank you twice if you reply. I have a four battery cart (I guess that it is 48v) that drains down if I take it off the charger . I can not travel far/long and it runs out of power. I have tested the battery acid/water and all is well there.
When the batteries are low, I have to charge each individually to about 60% and then I can connect the posts and use the cart charger. When connecting the batteries, I always start at the positive of number one and end with the ground of number four, however, connecting number four to ground always produces a spark on contact. So.....I am wondering if I have a short somewhere that is draining the batteries or if I have one or more bad batteries. Also, how do I do a load test? |
