Default 2003 TXT front spindles

I am looking at trying to grease the kingpins in the front but there are no fittings and only untapped holes. How are you supposed to grease these parts. Do they need grease or are they permanently lubricated

They are non-greaseable. They are this way since grease attracts dirts.

I have been known when I do lifts to disasemble the kingpins and lightly coat them with wheel bearing grease.

And yet the hole is there ...... If I was the owner of one cart. I would remove the king pins as CC said and tap the hole ~ install the zerk fitting and lube the pins every 4-6 months.... they would have to last longer this way. We have all seen the results of the non lubed pins in the yamahas

Thanks for the info.
If I do tap the holes and put in a zerk fitting, I must remove it after greasing and put in a flush plug because the clearence is tight. It looks like the best bet is to coat it every so often.
