Speed Chip on 6 passenger Limo
Well we got this at my work, and well everyone wants it a little faster. I know they sell those speed "chips" for EZGO's which have two 5 pin connectors on the controller (correct me if im wrong). My question is instead of purchasing this and finding out we dont like it i can "hot wire" a chip by two short jumper wires, correct? looking at close ups of the chip it looks like its jumping post 1&5 and 3&4.
Heres the cart, noot sure of details on it, we were sorta busy last night, ill assume its the same components as a regular TXT? \ heres a link for the chip im looking at http://www.golfcarthotrod.com/119/ho...-freedom-chip/ |

Re: Speed Chip on 6 passenger Limo
That is assuming that is not a series cart. Does it have a toggle forward/reverse? Does it have a run/tow toggle? Your controller will not have the J2 pin if not.

Re: Speed Chip on 6 passenger Limo
ok, it does have a forward reverse toggle on the dash plus a run/tow by the batteries. i havent had a chance to look at the controller yet. but what your saying is if it does have these features it wont accept the chip?

Re: Speed Chip on 6 passenger Limo
You have a PDS (sepex) cart, if you don't have an aftermarket controller in your cart it will take the chip.

Re: Speed Chip on 6 passenger Limo
ok, just looked at the controller and it said sepex on it, though it had diffrent wiring connections, it has a connector with i believe 10-12 wires all in the same plug, then it had a plug with i believe three wires coming out of it, i took some pics ill upload tonight when i get home

Re: Speed Chip on 6 passenger Limo
That cannot be chipped. you need a hand held and fredom on a shuttle is only 14 mph thats the fastest it will go without modifications. we have 15 of them and i needed a password just to make it 14 which is fredom for a shuttle.
