Default 84 gas cc ??

I have several questions about my 84 gas club car. Still trying to work out the kinks to get it to run properly.

1)...Does the fact that it has no current (I do intend to get one) air filter in the canister affect the way it runs?

2)...How do you bypass the micro kill switches to see if they work or not?

3)...How do you check the coil and exciter coil to see if they function? New ones are either discontinued or expensive.

Hm, I got a 90 with the same engine but never had to check either. What is the cart doing or not doing?

Check my previous post called "Club Car Driving Me Nuts" I think I wrote out how to test those parts.
