92 rear end

have a neighbor that wants to change his rear end oil. knowing nothing about this except what is says in the maintenance sticky. two questions-does this cart have a separate diff and trans, or is it the untized type. and if it is the two part kind, the sticky said to use a lighter weight oil in the trans. what weight would that be? thx jim
