Ground at key switch
I have a 99 cc gas and it has a ground to the key switch. Can anyone tell me why it would have a ground to the key switch? It doesnt make sense to me. There is a wire that goes to the reverse buzzer and to the frame from that terminal. Make sense to anyone? I want to replace the switch but no one else makes a switch with a ground terminal.

Re: Ground at key switch
is this a stock keyswitch? if so just get a stock one and it will be the same but if your gonna go aftermarket if that is only for the reverse buzzer than you can either just leave it disconnected or wire it another way......any pics of the switch??? that will help...........................

Re: Ground at key switch
Have you been able to find an aftermarket key switch with a long enough troat to work in the dash or are you carving up the dash?

Re: Ground at key switch
Ground at the key switch kills the engine if the key is turned off.
It grounds directly to the coil wire (black w/ white stripe) when switched off. |
