Re: Opinon on carb
Thanks Shadowman,
I think the fule pum is ok since it has been running fine this summer. I did take a look in the fuel tank and it looks like there is varnish on the bottom. That may have gummed the carb up. I took the carb off yesterday before heading home and the butterfly valve was covered in varnish again. Right after I bought it last spring, I repalced all the filters and stripped the carb down and soaked it in Carb Cleaner and Seafoam and got everything working fine. I have not torn down the carb again yet but assume that's the problem. I almost have a full tank of gas so wil not be happy dumping that fuel but will. I'm not sure how to clean the gas tank out since it's plastic but will. I was suprised the two fuel filters before the fuel gets to the carb didn't clean the varnish if there is any from the tank getting through. I did pull the air filter and it was still clean. I drive the cart on an asphalt road around where we have a vacation house. If I got out after the golf course is clsed, I will drive the asphalt cart path for the nine hole course. When I first take off I don't have to hold the gas pedal down much but after going down and up some steep hills typicaly have it floored all the time. Jim |
