This is a new carb so shouldn't it be in a stock position?

^^

You would think so, and realistically it probably is, but if the problem persists it may be worth checking. It's not hard to pull the bowl off and have a quick look at the float.

I unhooked the ground wire for the rev limiter and it's runs almost perfect/ i ordered another limiter. The one that came doesn't have the same wire connections. The old one has 3 cables coming out of it. The new one only has two......how is this connected? Anyone have any pics of theirs?

I also noticed the spark plug i replaced was NGK BPR5ES and not the NGK BPR4ES that was in it. I put the old one back in it and it seems to be firing properly. I hear that it needs the exact spark plug or they run like crap. Would a new ignition coil help as well while im at it?

BPR4ES is not the proper plug. BPR5ES is OEM for the 290, BPR2ES for the 350

The one on the left is the old one, the one on the right is new. The connections arent the same. Do i cut the one with double black wires coming out of the old one and put a connector to adapt it to the new round adapter on the new so i get a ground wire and the right connection on the micro switch?
