engine cut out on take off

I recently bought a 94 ds that runs great except when the cart first starts moving the engine cuts out until you let off the pedal and then slowly ease back into it to get going. Looking for help on what may cause this.

I would start by cleaning the carb and paying attention to the jets. Make sure that you blow them out with air and let them soak in carb cleaner. Wondering if there is something clogged up in the pilot jet.
