Default It's gone Soft... and stayed soft! :(

I'm talking about the brakes of course!

But seriously, i have an 88 Gas Club car... and I have replaced the shoes and one cable that was broken and for some reason the brake pedal STILL goes all the way to the floor. I have adjusted the shoes to the point where the cart doesn't roll that well when pushed cuz the brakes are so tight. but the pedal still goes to the floor. Anyway to adjust the pedal or cables? Something to get the sucker to be more responsive?

Any ideas?

if you look in front of where your cables are hook to the pedal there are two 1/2 inch nuts with a long adjustment nut between the two. loosen nuts on both sides and turn adjustment nut clockwise to tighten cables...after you get pedal somewhat tight...then adjust your shoes to where both grab with pedal being pressed.
