Default Slow cart

My farther thinks that his cart is too fast so he has missed with it to get it to go slower. Now it is down with oil comming from the head and out of the carb. I am thinking that this cart needs a full rpm once in a while to keep it from building too much carbon and messing things up. Can anyone tell me what to do on this?

What exactly did he do to slow it down? The problems you are describing, sound like its' overfull with oil,or badly in need of a rebuild. From the factory, the govenor restricts the speed of the cart to 8-12mph(depending on application,owner-specs,etc..)The throttle still functions as a normal throttle, but the govenor will pull it back when the speed-setting is met.Hope this helps.

Agree, check the oil and make sure a stuck float isn't overfilling and diluting the oil?

Not sure what he did but I could run faster then it. When I got to his place he had the motor out and the head off lots of oil and chunks of carbon on piston. We are going to do a rebuild on this.
