Default Batteries Gasing

Is that with 1 "s" or 2 ? Anyway, Is it normal for batteries to gas even after about a week after a charge cycle. I have been keeping up with the required watering but it seems like I do a lot of wiping off of the tops of the batteries. I don't like to see puddles of acid up there!

Seven days AFTER the charger completes it's cycle, your batteries are STILL gassing? WTH? Yeah, that's a problem. Is the charger still hooked up when this happens?

No, but I noticed not all the batteries are doing this. I have one particular battery that happens to hold better voltage than the rest and it does not do this at all except when it supposed to (during charge). And one does it worse than any, it happens to be the weaker?!

We are gonna need digital voltage readings of each battery and the whole pack:

Before charging
At the start of the charge cycle
At the end of the charge cycle
12 hours after the end of the charge cycle
15 minutes after a nice long ride on a freshly charged pack

Also need to know the make and age of the batteries. Any corrosion present? Cable conditions? Charger name and model?

When you check your electrolyte levels, do it right after charging. If you do it before charging, only have enough to cover over the plates. I'm guessing that you may have too much and when you charge, the fluid expands and pushes out.
As far as gassing, if you're just seeing a bubble or two, no problem! If the battery is gassing like when it's being charged, you may have a bad battery - (s). I've noticed on my cart that the batteries will sometimes gas a little after prolonged use. I'm going to say this is normal also.

Those first readings are actually before charging (10 days since last charge).

Before charging
At the start of the charge cycle
12.55, 12.43, 12.59, 12.51 and pack 49.9
At the end of the charge cycle
13.81, 13.71, 13.86, 13.75 and pack 55.5
12 hours after the end of the charge cycle
12.73, 12.64, 12.77, 12.68 and pack 50.6
15 minutes after a nice long ride on a freshly charged pack
12.44, 12.34, 12.49, 12.42 and pack 49.4
Also need to know the make and age of the batteries. Interstate 2010’s
Any corrosion present? No, I keep everything real clean.
Cable conditions? Looks good
Charger name and model? PowerDrive 3 Model 26560

I see a pack that is out of balance, not terribly however, but not perfect either. I also see two batteries not holding 100% charge very well, resulting in less than a full charge each time. As for the gassing a week later, I have never seen that before. I have seen bubbles release because of shaking the cells on a ride, but not static gassing.

Do you own a 10 amp 12v automotive battery charger? Might try and charge each unit individually and see if the results remain the same.
