Default G2 secondary clutch interchangeable with G1?

I have a like new Plowman's performance secondary clutch from my G1. Anyone know if this will fit on the G2 axle? I haven't looked at them both closely to verify, but the G2 clutch looks similar? I'd like to use the G1 clutch if possible. Anyone know?

Thanks!

I think the G2-G22 are the same but different than the G1.

I know the G1 has plastic slider bushings on both sides of the helix, but wondering if the splines on the trans shaft are the same and will the clutches interchange?

I thought the sheaves are the same, but the Helix,spring,etc..differ.As far as I know,it will fit, just have to swap the spring.

Spring and spring seat are slightly different on G1 due to having to work in both spinning directions. Splines are same. The parts would fit, with the concern about reverse.

Well I don't think it would matter since the G2 rear will only spin in one direction. So it sounds like it would work? I'll have to take it apart and check it out for sure. If the splines are the same, and the shaft is the same length, then it should work just fine. That's kinda what I needed to know.

Sorry, your avatar threw me off... G1 rear clutch parts will work on all up to G22. Part numbers may not interchange but will fit. G2 and newer will fit G1 with no shoe ramps on reverse side. Be on the lookout for the older (G1 & some G2) smaller diameter spring seat VS. the newer larger diameter. The shoe ramps will only line up on the outer halves of the smaller sliding sheave ramps. So i guess the real answer is "measure or take it apart and see".
