Default Just finished gov bypass

Thanks to Gary for the sticky. Took me a while to figure it all out but actual bypass only took maybe 30 min. Got pedal adjusted and got my G9 rockin down the street at 35 mph on stock tires and all. Only prob (which isn't much of a prob) is when I turn the key, it immediately idles. Is that norm after bypass or do I have something off? Can't wait to get a lift and mud tires and try off road. Thanks to all the great info on here!

Just my guess here throttle cable may be a little to tight? Or if you adjusted pedal it might be hitting rubber mat on floorboard? When I did mine it started backing up out of the garage! I cut the rubber mat flush with the metal floorboard now its good to go.

Pedal switch is not adjusted correctly. Need to back it off, so its not tripped until the throttle pedal is depressed.

Remember, the motor has to turn over (pedal switch) before the carb butterfly begins to open. Or you will have a backfire issue.

Also, I cut an inch or so off the top of the throttle pedal on mine, to achieve full throttle. So I could put the pedal back to the original position, for comfort.
