Default 1996 yamaha g14 with no spark

I have a yamaha 1996 g14 and it wont spark, the coil test is good, i get 10.5 to 11 volts at the r/w to ground and the orange to ground . If i hook a 12 volt light to either wire it will flash as the motor turns over. Can anyone help? This is about drive me crazy!

Check the ground connections.

I have and still no luck, I even went from the neg on the bat to the valve cover and to the frame and still no luck. I am pretty handy at electrical but man this thing has blown my mind !

It seems to me that if the bulb flashes on both wires
it would be the ground but you say they are good?
I am stumped too.

As far as I can tell the grounds are good , Plus I went from the neg bat term to the frame and head. Yes the light does flash on both wires going to the coil. Test light from ground to r/w fast flash, ground to orange , fast flash

I feel you pain...went thru the same aggravation for weeks. A few questions:

How are you checking for spark?
What resistance are you seeing on the coil primary and secondary?
What is the resistance for the spark plug boot?
I had a bad boot that read open.
I would also run a wire from the motor to the - post on the battery to ensure you have a good ground while checking for spark.

I replace the coil with a new one. Don't have the readings right . I have held the plug wire close to the valve cover without the cap on , no spark. I have a ground wire from the batt to the valve cover , no spark, is there a way to test the ignitor box ? I have been fooling with this thing for days!
Thanks
Ronnie
