Smile Need Help identifying a controller.

Hi!

Weekend is coming and I need something to do :)

So I took the cover of the controller of my EZ-Go Shuttle 2+2 just to see what was under the cover.
To my surprise everything was exceptionally clean inside which I cannot say for the rest of the GC this puppy has seen some mud.

Can you guys help me identify it? Is this the stock controller?

The small label in the 3rd picture reads P308624

Stock controller & stock solenoid, both were pretty "cheesey".

Thumbs up Re: Need Help identifying a controller.

Thanks cgtech!

That explains it.. So now it looks like I need to spend some more $$.

The batteries are Energizer GC2 not even close to top of the line but are new (2015). My budget is tight so keep that in mind.

After reading a lot of threads looks like the upgrades should be:
- New Controller and Solenoid
- New Cables
- Change F&R Rotary to a F&R Contactor <- my F&R needs some TLC

It looks like cables and controller go hand in hand so I'm looking at ~ $580 to $680 ....

Which controller should I go with? Even though is a lifted off-roady type of Cart the use is mostly neighborhood drives.

-- More important question: I need excuses for the wifey to explain the $$

Thanks!

275 amp curtis control and 60 amp solenoid. Both stock issue for a 2 person golf cart.

Thanks ScottyB, any recommendations on the new controller? I was looking at the Pkg #484 or Pkg #484B on your site.

If you use 484 or 484B you will actually get 460 amps of peak performance. Which isn't bad. I would use 485 (570 peak) if you got hills or big tires or if you think you may want to go with an aftermarket motor later on down the road

Thanks for asking and click the link in the signature to find info on upgrade guidelines. Helpful stuff

Excuses for the wife may include:

- dont you hate getting stuck in _______?
- why are we going sooooo slow up this hill?
- look, that bad dog is catching us! We can evade him after we crest the hill!
- hey, whats that electrical smell?
- you dont want to help me push this home, do you?

You could even try
- all the meanie neighbors keep saying meanie stuff about us.
- i had a terrible game of golf today, you know what might fix it?

Ask her to get out and help push the cart as it goes slow up the hill (don't push the gas too much) and then casually say " you're doing great, think of all the money we saved not upgrading the cart"
