Breaking in new batteries
As part of my upgrade from 36v to 48v, I am getting new batteries Saturday. I have the 48v solenoid installed, and the charger has shipped. I think the charger will arrive 2 days after I get the new batteries.
Can anybody give me the low down of breaking in new batteries correctly? Thanks! |

Go to the sponsor page , click on Carts Unlimited. He has a great tutorial on batteries in the side menu. I'd give you links but I'm the village computer idiot.

Re: Breaking in new batteries
Ideally you charge the batteries BEFORE 1st use..... bummer huh?
Bottom line don't run them down below 75% capacity .... before the first charge. If they have some shelf time on them you may not get a lot of drive time before the charger shows unless you can borrow one or cop a charge |
