G2 slow to start then runs sluggish after starting
My Yamaha G2 won't start until I have my foot on the gas for a while. Once it starts running it is sluggish and when I slow down or come to a stop it feels like it's about to die. I have to keep my foot on the gas for about 15 secs before it starts up again. I replaced the spark plug and checked the fuel lines. They are in really good condition. I'm thinking maybe the fuel pump? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Does it help it to take off if you pull the choke ?

Pulling the choke does not seem to make a difference either way. It seemed to struggle a little more in the reverse position.

If you pull out the spark plug is it wet or dry ?

It is dry. I just ordered a new carb, they are pretty inexpensive I will see if that helps.

IT sounds like it might be slow picking the fuel up. Maybe.

Check your fuel pump pressure,and look for kinked lines.
