Newbie To Forum needs help!
1992 Club Car 36-volt (Ser# A9441-407179)-no click when I push pedal so inspected and I noticed a crack in solenoid housing and the resister wire is burnt. So I will put in new solenoid and resistor. Any advice on procedure? Have disconnected cables and I believe resistor has to go on a certain way? Help will be appreciated.

Re: Newbie To Forum needs help!
Is the resistor across the small terminals on the solenoid?? If so it's a diode. It is directional... Just make sure that it goes on with the same wire connected to the same end....
If it's across the big terminals its a resistor and doesn't matter... You're on the right track though... before you do any type of parts replacement at least take one side of the batteries loose, if not both sides... On that car it might be easier for you to pull the two middle batteries out of the car... |

Re: Newbie To Forum needs help!
p.s. I think the positive side of the diode (the side with the silver band) connects to the yellow wire.. (unless you've had major changes..)

Re: Newbie To Forum needs help!
Thanks, I will double check. If I recall correctly, the (resistor?) is connected across the large terminals.
I have removed the cables from each side of the 6 batteries. |

Re: Newbie To Forum needs help!
On the small terminals the diode goes with the silver band on the + terminal which is the hot wire coming into the selonoid.
On the big terminals it doesn't matter which way it goes. |
