![]() Hey Guys,
My '96 G19 will run fine for about 50 yards then acts like it loses power, and then takes back off again. It surges from good power to bad power. Back and forth. Please help! |

![]() Welcome to the forum Jeremy......................
We gotta know what kind of shape the batteries are in before we can help. Volt meter and Hydrometer readings are what we need. |

![]() On my 02 club car the 8 volt batteries going from positive side of series to negative side are as follows:
Batt 1 – 8.1 v with no load (7.8 to 8.0 with load), Batt 2 – 8.1 v with no load (7.8 to 8.0 with load), Batt 3 – 8.2 v with no load (7.9 to 8.1 with load), Batt 4 – 8.1 v with no load (7.8 to 8.0 with load), Batt 5 – 8.0 v with no load (7.4 to 7.8 with load), Batt 6 – 8.0 v with no load (7.5 to 7.9 with load), Voltage for all batteries with no load is 49.3 to 49.4 and 46.5 to 48 under load. Hydrometer readings (using very cheap 4 ball floating tester) Batt 1 – 3 cells full - 1 cell ¾ charge Batt 2 – 3 cells full - 1 cell ¾ charge Batt 3 – 3 cells full - 1 cell ¾ charge Batt 4 – 3 cells full - 1 cell ¾ charge Batt 5 – 2 cells near dead - 2 cells ¼ charge Batt 6 – 2 cells near dead - 2 cells ¼charge When putting on the charger the charger goes up to 20 amps and then slowly comes down to 10 amps and then seems to start creeping back up to 15+ amps and batteries begin to get warm. When cart was charging right it would go up to 20 amps and slowly decline to 0 amps when fully charged and I don't recall batteries ever getting noticeably warm. |
