Default 1974 Sebring Vanguard Citicar

These are highway legal in most states, I believe. Built on an aluminum chassis, full roll cage, uses golf cart running gear. Has vin, seatbelts, horn, turn signals, wiper, and a valid title.

Going to upgrade a few bits and get her back on the road as a commuter.

Yes, 40 mph with the stock 3.5 hp motor and 48 volts. I just added 6 new batteries and a controller for 72 volts, and now looking for a suitable motor in the 15 hp range. Also adding taller wheels and tires.

Should be good for about 60. If not, then we'll just bump it up to 144 volts.

May need posi at that point. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about running the stock motor on the higher voltage?

It'd be a better idea to sell of the 3 HP stock motor (many people want to buy them, in fact I'm in the market for one with an E-Moped design I was thinking about) and use the money to buy a better motor.
Cindy........ I got one word for you..... research!
Research the subject, Members have successfully run motors like this on 72 volts and one member I know has run them on 96 and 108 volts.... I'm not grasping at straws here this is proven stuff that works

Flintrock,
You are right on! This former (2nd) owner drove it in the Aquafest parade, or so I was told. He sold it along with a property to the man I got it from. That is as much as I know about it. If you know more, please share.
