Battery Question

hey, if an ezgo sits for like 3 months, with the batterys dead when it was parked and the runtow switch on (charger not hooked up), what will the batterys be like when the cart is used again and charged?

they are probably good check water level and charge

well can it cause it not to hold a charge? It also sits for like all winter outside and dead too...
gcman got in it and it wouldn't go, and it wont hold a charge... now he blames it on me...

sitting dead for 3 months is not good on the batteries.. if they were already weakened, there is a good chance it could finish them off...

sitting around for 3 months isn't that long of a time sometimes they are warehoused for longer I would check them with a hydrometer and go from that point but in the future get yourself a trickle charger and keep them connected to it. If the bats were in bad shape to start with you could have killed them.

If the batteries are dead at the start of three months chances are very good they will be bad at the end of three months.

Warehouses store them dry so their shelf life is much longer.
