6 volt charging
How high can you go charging a 6 volt battery (water/plates)T125s? I just turned my charger off and all batteries are at 6.5 a piece and 39 all together. Can I go farther with letting them charge? Thank you for any info.

Re: 6 volt charging
Lead acid wet batteries max cell voltage under charge is 2.583 volts per cell (vpc) x 3 cell per 6v battery = 7.75v per battery or 46.5v per 36v pack. Most charger auto cutoff is between 45.5 and 46.5v

Re: 6 volt charging
I charged the batteries up to about 7.2 v per. Let the cart sit for a few hours and then went for a 7 min ride one big hill. Below is what the batteries were when I left and returned.
Batt 1 6.38v- after 5.98v Batt 2 6.41v- after 6.02v Batt 3 6.43v- after 6.10v Batt 4 6.40v- after 6.02v Batt 5 6.41v- after 6.08v Batt 6 6.41v- after 6.08v That seems to be draining pretty quick? Battery problems or something else? |
