Default won't turn over right away when hot

it starts right off when the cart is cold but after making a few blocks around it won't turn over until the the pedal is held down for a few seconds and then it will start right off does not matter if if it's in Foward or reverse.

That is most likely a weak battery, or poor battery connections.

I ended up replacing my positive battery cable because of unseen corrosion.

did yours act fine after it cooled off after a while it was normal and then it acted up when hot.. what size battery do you have in yours or the cca on the battery. i replaced the battery and cables about a year ago both positive and negative.

I managed to squeeze a group 24C 585 cold cranking amps/ 720 @ 32 degrees in there.

Mine was random.

I would suggest putting it on blocks to run it, and put a meter across the battery to see if it's charging.
12.7 volts static. Around 14 volts while running.

If it stays at the static voltage while running, do this.

Follow the small green wire from the generator to the voltage regulator.
Remove the wire from the voltage regulator.
Ground the green wire to the frame.
Run the cart.
Voltage across the battery terminals should increase with speed. Around 19 volts.

If it does this, it indicates a bad voltage regulator.

OK i checked the voltage while running it and it rose up to 15.6v checked at the starter solenoid and the same voltage and it drops down to 10.5 when you energize the starter whether is is hot or cold. the battery i squeezed in mine is a 26r-2 and 540 cca at 0

10.5 v is a lot of drop. Not total junk yet, but on it's way out. Couple that with some resistance at a dirty connection, and you have hard starting.

Follow the wire from the solenoid to the starter.
Measure voltage between there, and the negative battery terminal. It might be less than 10.5v.

You might also want to pull the rubber plugs on your starter to check out the brushes. They might be getting low.

At least you know the charging circuit is working. That's always a bonus.
