Default new g-16 motor

is their any difference in a new motor for my g-16 when the part numbers change my old motor was a JN6 & the new motor the guy ordered for me was a JR3 he said they are the same but for some reason the jr3 is about $300 less than a JN6 any reason why?

The JR3 is simply an updated part number (or current part number) for the Jn6 301cc engine, used up to 2002 model. You could also upgrade to the 2003 and up JR6 engine at 357cc at the same retail price.

Yep, and the Yamaha kit even comes with a new carb tuned for the 357. Only mod possibly needed is a very minor wire mod for the oil light (old one had a pigtail, new one plugs directly onto block).

All G16a had oil light next to key switch. Your exhaust is on the motors "front left corner" right?
