I appreciate you posting the wiring diagram. Mines a 2013 Recoil. Runs great for 3 or 4 miles. Might be a coincidence but I've ran through some water and the cart goes in to limp mode.

I have finally realized that 1.) the batteries I originally bought were not strong enough. The ones I bought new were only 215 amp hours and the ones that came off of it were 245 amp hours so I think I wasn’t getting enough amps. And 2.) my front motor wasn’t getting enough power. Tracked it down to the controller being that it is only putting out 22 volts and should be putting out 48. So now I got to find a replacement controller but the one that I have (Sevcon Millipak 633T45312) supposedly has been discontinued. Any suggestions?

He wasn't happy.

Many fail and run on one of the motors when they did roll in. We actually suggested them living with 2WD as it had plenty of torque either way, not like you'd actually notice the loss of the 2nd motor (at least I didn't) but we got looks like we landed from Mars at the mere suggestion.
Can you tell me how to use it with 2WD only because as soon as one motor is out he other one over heats like it has too much power going to the one motor.

I would remove the main power cables that go to the controller, and remove the cables from the controller to motor if possible.

What motors are on the thing?
Overheating can be several things but normally it’s because the motor is under too much load, or because Its being operated too slow. Electric motors draw the most amps at 0 speed, and amp draw decreases as the motor turns faster.

There is a big difference between a motor designed to make torque at low speed, and one designed to run at high speed. A high speed motor will overheat in no time if it’s driven at low speed or put under excessive load, such as trying to turn larger tires than stock size or hilly/ steep terrain.

The motor on the bad boy buggy is an Advanced Motors and Drives 48 volt motor. The front controller is jacked and when I try to use the back motor only it gets extremely hot. However I may try to unhook all the wires to the front controller to include the ones coming from the sylenoid.

Is there anyway you could send me the wire diagram? I just purchased a 07 BBB 4x4 and I’m not sure what wires go where.

I have one motor that is burnt up and one that I believe is fine. I also believe that both of my controllers are bad as well. SO my question is can I run the buggy with one motor.. if yes, can i just buy any controller that is regulated for a 48 volt or does it need to be one specifically regulated for a Bad Boy Buggy?
