Default Help please and no smart *** answers please.

I have a 2007 ezgo text I am pretty sure ot has the 295 engine
6 inch lift. It ran fine and now all of a sudden it is blowing oil out of the breather hose. Checked the compression one cylinder is reading 80 and the other is reading 140. Does it sound like it needs new rings.

Check the oil level. It's probably overfilled. If it's got a 6" lift, and its anywhere near the "full" mark, its overfilled. that will cause it to blow out the breathe hose and even to smoke.

As for compression, first fix the oil level. Then check compression again, holding the throttle wide open by hand at the carb itself (dont rely on the pedal). If it is still low, adjust the valves. I use .004 for all 4 valves with good success. If there are a lot more threads showing on the 2 valves in the middle, they're worn and will need to be replaced.

Start there, it's easy stuff and doesnt take long to do.
