2002 EG6023k Personal electric car
So I bought a 2002 EG6023k Personal electric car.
From the research I did it is the Chinese version of a Gem Car. Picked it up yesterday, put 6 new 8 Volt batteries in her today and she lit right up The lights, horn, Blinkers, and windshiled wiper all worked as they should and I drove it around my yard.... It needs some TLC. Someone painted it and the paint job is what you would see on a DIY Muscle car. Yes that a nice way to say Sh#t Paint Job... I guess I will have to make a lift kit, Put the springs on top of the rear. The front gonna be a little more tricky. Shopping for tires now. Paint and such will wait until the weather turns then I will start stripping it down in the garage. I will throw some picks up so everyone can tell me what a fool I am for buying this junk. However the wife will be driving it around our camp ground and she likes that fact that its different. |

Re: 2002 EG6023k Personal electric car
The EG is almost done. LOL... I know, I know it will never really be "DONE"
Woke up this morning, made coffee and sat at the computer. Found a 20 minute old FB Marketplace post for 22/11-10 in like new condition wheel/tires for sale $200. sent message.. "I will take them" Promptly left to pick them up. I have some final touches/trim work and wiring to do for accessories and this thing is ready for the upcoming camping season. I have collected a ton of knowledge over the last few months and I would like to thank everyone here for all the great advise and direction. Not just from responses but my being able to browse through past and current posts for info and ideas. I also sat and compiled my list of expenses for this build. Cart itself = $500 Batteries = $525 Charger = $55 Wheels/Tires = $200 Stainless nuts bolts = $50 Back seat frame = $100 Seat vinyl and supplies = $230 Paint supplies = $60 2ga cable and ends $45 Hinges, relays, other stuff = $100 LED Front and rear lights = $35 Throw in $100 for little stuff I cant remember. I am all in for $2000. Not to bad, I think I have a pretty nice cart for $2k Brian |
