Re: 36v motor 48 volt batteries conversion
You will need to build or buy a new cable set as the cart will have new (different) components mounted in different locations per the extensive instructions. We use 2g for everything now, no more 4g. It may be a little overkill for some of the smaller kits but it keeps the engineers at Alltrax happy and like JB says 'when it comes to high amperage cable the value of overkill is understated'

Re: 36v motor 48 volt batteries conversion
Hi Scotty, I just installed the kit and it’s not working. Summary of what I did per my understanding of instructions.
Pedal: Red wire to key switch Blue wire to positive solenoid small wire Green wire to J5 on controller Black ground battery Cart Positive battery to large post solenoid Positive controller B+ large post solenoid Negative small solenoid wire to black on controller Positive diode to red on controller B- Negative on controller to Negative battery J5 on controller to A2 When pedal is depress solenoid is activated and I get the green flashes on controller and then it lights up solid green. What am I missing? Thanks, Jon |

Re: 36v motor 48 volt batteries conversion
I'm not sure. Your posts indicate the pedal, solenoid, and controller are working correctly. The F&R, motor, and high amperage cable locations are still in question.
Can you post some pictures so we can see what you have so far? |

Re: 36v motor 48 volt batteries conversion
Here is what I have. I labeled since I only had a small selection of wire colors. I feel like the pedal and solenoid are working but no so sure on the controller.

Re: 36v motor 48 volt batteries conversion
So I noticed one thing that is different. On my cart versus the f&r switch in the diagram, S1 on the diagram is where I have A1 A1 on the diagram is where I have my S1. Also my old wiring had S2 sent to negative battery and the diagram has it going to the f&r switch. I left all these cables in the original spot, was I supposed to change that? The note on the bottom states 3 green flash then solid green and when pedal is depressed fully orange. This is what I am getting off the controller. Mine is set up like the pic attached:

Re: 36v motor 48 volt batteries conversion
Ok, I figured it out!!! The 36 volt wiring in at the f&r switch doesn’t remain. I had to desire per the instructions.
