G1 Crank bearing seating?
Can anyone tell me if the crank bears are supposed to sit flush with the case or not when you reinstall them?
When I installed them, one of them pushed pretty far down but it sits maybe a few millimeters above the case and the other one quenched pretty hard and I had to tap it down a little bit and it sits a few millimeters above the case too. I've tried finding some images but no dice to tell. From the looks of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeEwJbJSKPU?t=437 they look like they sit raised a little bit. |

Re: G1 Crank bearing seating?
I found a couple of pics from my bearing r&r. Hope they help. I don’t remember all the details, but looks like the one side should be flush against the big snap ring for sure.

That helps a lot. My fan side is the one that quenched and looks like it needs to go in a bit further. Thank you.
