Yamaha G1 gas motor won't turn
I have Yamaha gas cart and wihile driving it quit. i thought it ran out of gs, but adding more gas didn't solve the problem. with the seat up, I stepped on the gas pedal and I noticed the motor wouldn't turn. I brushed against the oil intake line. it was broken in Half inside the clamp..so I never noticed the motor ran out of oil. I put a clear oil line on and the line is full of oil. the motor will turn several turns forward then locka up. will turn in reverse also then hits a spot and tightens up. have to ;oosen it by hand...
what happened..??? thanks in advance |

What happened? You ran it out of oil. Engine bearing damage. Time for a rebuild.

yes , the oil line broke in two in a place thawasnt visible to me and only noticed it because I brushedmy arm against it.
thanks for your reply. would I need a complete rebuild or just the bottom end?, |
