2009? RXV brakes will not disengage
First, I cannot verify year, serial number lookup (serial not found) My serial Number is 5033787.
I think it is a 2009 via date code on tag. My EZGO RXV brakes will not disengage, electric brake tested 25.8 ohms, brakes lights stay on, battery solenoid clicks when key to forward, positive continuity through the run plug, batteries charged to 45.8 volts, EZGO charger has two sort red blinks. Any help where to look next would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance |

Re: 2009? RXV brakes will not disengage
My serial of a '09 starts with 506... there is a tag behind driver side front wheel showing a date code. The pack voltage you mentioned is much too low, below 10% SOC! Fully charged the batteries should read at least 50.9v. With a volt meter, check each individual battery. There could be one bad? The ohms of the parking brake is good.

would the low voltage cause no movement. Just my thought process says you would not get very far if this is the case.

Re: 2009? RXV brakes will not disengage
The RXV is a 48v cart and the controller is expecting this voltage. On start up, it's performing a self test of various things and If something out of specs, the controller won't disengage the magnetic parking brake. Red led from charger probably indicating the low voltage ( too low to kick in ). You could charge each single battery with a 12v car charger to bring them up.

Re: 2009? RXV brakes will not disengage
With a volt ohm meter, check for power on the plug at the motor brake. Connect the negative lead of the meter to battery ground. With the cart switched on you should read battery pack voltage going to the motor brake. If you don't, then you likely have a bad sonic weld in the harness.

Re: 2009? RXV brakes will not disengage
I can confirm that you do have a 2009. Have you tried doing this from the troubleshooting guide?
