G22 charging gremlin!!!
This has been brutal. I saw a post on putting all the original parts back in since we are flooded with inferior parts...gezzz. All started because I fried a battery so the original regulator was charging 18v so I replaced it and the battery. Thats when the gremlin appeared I would lose my charging to the battery. I hooked a meter to the battery and could tell. I also did full field tests on the starter Gen and it tested fine each time. Now I put the original regulator in and it appears to stay at 12.3 v steady but when half throttle is 16v and full throttle 18v. So back to overcharging. I think its the inferior parts issue any one have a good part # for the G22 regulator or suggestions other than building this stuff in the USA?
