Default Bogging down on upgrades

Hi guys I have a 2021 ezgo txt valor, when I put it away b/4 winter it was doing 20 mph and handeling up grades ok,when I took it out this spring itís only doing about 16-17 mph and bogging down to 13 mph on an upgrade with only one person in cart,
B/4 I put it away I filled tank all the way with fresh gas and stabilizer,
Engine model EX1 EFI , 150 cc , 11.5 HP 1cyl
Any help would be appreciated do you think it could still be stall gas causing this ??? Thank you in advance for any help

Gas ainít what it used to be. If it sat for 6 months, stabilizer or not, it is not going to burn as well as fresh gas.

Iíd start by draining the tank and filling with fresh gas. See how it does after that. Start with the simple stuff before digging deeper than what may be necessary.

And put some Seafoam in the fresh gas to help clean out what is already in there.

This is what came out of a cart I bought recently. Amazing it ran at all. On flat ground it actually ran fairly decent. Definitely not what it ďshouldĒ but someone not as familiar probably wouldnít have noticed. It supposedly ran in October and then sat under a lean-to all winter.

I still canít believe it ran

Doesn't matter if its carb or EFI, and more likely worse with EFI. If the fuel is bad, it doesn't explode the way it would if it were new. In other words, it isn't as volatile and thus won't make the same power. I'd be surprised if that is your only issue, but it is the right place to start. Take some of what you have in the cart and put it in your lawn mower...if it runs good there, likely not your issue. I would be looking at the intake system for mouse houses, or even the exhaust. Motors have to breath and fart. Block either side with a ball of fuzz, and it won't run well. Mud dobbers, mice, and other critters like to build houses over the winter if they can find a way in. I'm not familiar with your set up, far too new for me.

I know. But even fuel injected engines donít particularly enjoy running on bad gas

LOL. I use stale fuel to run garden lawnmowers! They run fine on it and it is too expensive these days for fire starting. EFI however would struggle to run well.

Maybe push mowers. I just sold a John Deere rider that was EFI. It was very picky about what it would run on. [emoji38]
